With cocoa powder and chocolate chips in the pancakes, plus the chocolate sauce, these fluffy and thick chocolate pancakes are perfect paired with a fresh cup of coffee and some juicy berries. HOW TO MAKE CHOCOLATE PANCAKES 1. Prepare griddle or pan for pancakes by preheating it to 350 degrees or medium to medium high heat. 2. In a mixing bowl combine milk, buttermilk, vegetable oil and vanilla. Mix well. 3. Add cocoa powder, white sugar, brown sugar and baking soda. Mix well. 4. Add flour 1/2 cup at a time until incorporated. Do not over mix. 5. When batter is prepared and griddle/pan is hot, butter or spray pan if needed and pour 1/4 cup of batter down on griddle.
